See my response to aunt bea:
DO NOT use Windex (contains ammonia)
DO NOT use paper towels (will scratch screen)
DO NOT spray directly upon the LCD screen (will damage screen coating)

Depends on the type of monitor. For a CRT monitor, eye glasses cleaner work if you don't spay
directly on the glass. (Just to keep the liquid from running down to the bottom) For LCD monitors,
a used drier fabric softener sheet will take the dust off. If you use "white-out" on the monitor,
most any cleaner will work for you.

Whatever it's manufacturer recommends in the care/maintenance section
of the manual that came with the monitor.

I'm too old to be concerned about genetic mutation,

So just because you're a cranky old coot you think that it is a good
idea to suggest to the unsuspecting that they should use a deadly known
carcinogen! Benzine is a VERY dangerous substance and its use has been
discouraged or baned outright in many jurisdictions. Most industrial
users have found alternatives to using this dangerous product and
recommending it as a cleaner for computer monitors is shear lunacy!

then follow the link and complain to Samsung:

Done! Go check their website, they've listed benzine as an Unacceptable
Cleaner. They were surprised that this "old" information was still on
their site and were aware of the possible dangers of benzine. I haven't
heard back from Samsung though.

I use a "just" damp NEW J-cloth and distilled water - all benign and works
well!
