cleaning junk files after upgrading

I recently upgraded my notebook from Windows ME to Windows XP. I was
wondering if there is any useful method or tool that can be used to
"clean" out some of the junks, i.e. unused DLL etc files off the hard
drive. I know some of you are going to tell me I should have done a
"clean install", but the upgrade is already done.
