Clean Windows Install on New HP Device

Is there an easy way build a clean load?

Yup. Buy a copy of Vista and go for it.

OR... you can take a little time and unload all the bloatware.
It's not an impossible task.

I purchased on HP Slimline computer with Premium on it and all the
bloatware. I want a clean install.

This is my first experience not building one myself with an OEM copy of
Windows. I called HP and they only offer recovery disks, no OEM DVD. And
this web site does not like my product key since its OEM.

"Randall Flagg" gave you the correct answer. I'd just like to add that the
best approach with HPs is to manually remove the pre-installed programs and
trial software that you don't want. You can get weird errors with HPs if
you do a clean install with a generic OEM even though you will install HP's
drivers. Also on some consumer-level models, it is impossible to find
chipset drivers on HP's website.

So it really is better to spend the 15 minutes removing the extra stuff
rather than doing a clean install.

Before you remove anything, make your recovery disks.

Borrow a Vista installation DVD from anyone and perform a clean installation
using the OEM PID from the label on your computer. You will have to activate
by phone and tell them you are re-installing your OEM product. If asked
anything else, (e.g. Is this the only machine this product is installed on?
What model is the machine?) just tell the truth. I've never had a problem
with this method.

While MS will not typically support OEM issues, they do support activation
of all their products.
If you encounter any problems, you would simply recover your OS.

Or, just google "clean install OEM vista."
