whenever i try to install windows xp on my computer and i have my dvd drive
to master and cd rom drive to slave, the windows setup gives me a session3_
initialize error. But when i set my cd-rom to master and dvd drive to slave i
get into the terms and conditions and press f8 to agree, then the setup tells
me to insert a windows xp disc, when theres already a disc in there. Help me
please. btw my hd is a sata hd. Thank you.

Is the setup asking for the CD or saying it can't find any HD's installed?

Right when the setup started, did you hit F6 to install the SATA drivers?

These are not drivers for the hard drive, they are SATA drivers for your
systems motherboard. Go do the motherboard manufacturers website, download
the SATA RAID drivers or F6 drivers and install these on to a floppy disk.

Then when you install Windows, right when it starts it will say press F6 to
add additional drivers.

Press F6 and it will eventually ask for the disk. I believe it will ask you
to press S to specifiy additional devices.
