Clean install Vista Ultimate

I have a new laptop that came pre insatall with home premuim I also bought
Vista Ultitmate at the same time. He thought I wanted to dual boot, but I
only want to run Ultimate.
When I try to insall I get try message to insall from media. Any help with
this?
 
Hi Richard,

A clean install of Vista is done by booting the system with the media (DVD).
Be aware that a retail version of Vista may not have needed proprietary
drivers for your laptop. You'd be better off upgrading so that any needed
ones are brought over from the Home Premium installation.
