class & preview questions for custom form

T

TAV

Thanks in advance for reading my questions & any answers.
1. The message class for a custom form that is working
from Choose Form \ Org. Form Library shows as
IPM.Note.PrintProblem. However in my customized current
view for my inbox or sent items folder the message class
shows as IPM.Note, only. Is something amiss? Should I be
concerned?

2. Also, this same form does not view in the preview pane.
3. Nor does it's icon show as has been designated.

4. I have another custom form that I would like to change.
Its message class is good (IMP.Note.Printing) and it
reflects the right icon. However in design time I can not
double click into the Message field to access the text
there. I had entered text previously and now want to
change it.

Thank you very much for the refresher on item 4). Haven't
done this is for awhile. And since 4) is working I'm
dumping the 1,2&3)one-off form.

As to item 2), you are correct. Forms do not preview but
its items do. My form items do show up in preview at the
receipants side but not the senders Sent Items folder nor
on a cc: receipant Inbox.

Also the icon does not show on the receipants side but
does show on the senders.

Oh well minor details. And I hope ones that I can live
with. Any ideas?

Thanks again.

Where did you publish the form? Unless the recipient has access to the form
definition, they won't see the icon.

Please explain what the users with problems see in the preview pane.

The forms are published to the Org. Forms Library. I gave
rights to generic user. And I just cleared the cache under
Forms Manager for generic user. Then closed and restarted
OL. And now the icons are correct and custom forms are
not in preview. As you wrote they shouldn't be.

On second thought, I might take away the rights, just to
have the preview show. This would be better and acceptable
for this generic user email. It only processes the
incoming forms into a help desk ticket.

Thanks for your time and helping me learn. Have a great
weekend.
