Clarification of Pivot Table stuff

G'day there One & All,

I'm still trying to battle my way through my OLAP database report,
and had a few ideas about how to build it. However, since I know nothing
about Pivot Tables I thought I should ask a question or two. Google gave
me some ambiguous answers but not what I wanted to know. That probably
means I've asked the wrong question but that doesn't help just now.

Firstly, is it possible to control a pivot table in one workbook
from a sheet in another workbook? Not by refering to data in the second
book, but by having ActiveX controls on one sheet which controls the PT
on the other. If not, can it be done between worksheets in the same
workbook? (I think the latter should be OK but that's not what I've got
at the moment).

I did have another question, but I thought of something that may
get me around it. I'll try it later and if it doesn't work then I'll be
back :)
