Anyone else using a touchpad

on their desktop made by (originally) Cruise? I've always loved the
thing - never given me wrist problems and uses little space, but I
think it's causing problems and I can no longer find an updated driver
for XP. Any ideas? Thanks!

Ah, I just got a new computer so I had to get a new driver so I can
answer this one.
The XP drivers are at their website:
http://www.cirque.com/support/support_drivers.htm

I love this thing, escpecially when I am in keyboard mode in unix land.
I can keep my fingers on the keys to type and move the cursor with my
thumb.

It is pretty crappy of them to sale that thing without a driver cd isn't it?
I bought their touchpad to use with a comp on windows 98. While XP-sp2
installs and recognizes the thing fine, 98 will not. The driver was 4mb in
size, which is quite annoying on dial up.

When you get the driver, not that I think that is going to make any positive
difference, let us know how it turns out. I think you will find that the
touchpad works better with the MS driver if you are using it simultaneously
with a USB or serial mouse. No matter what though, even Cirque tells its
users to have only their mouse installed because it does not work well with
others plugged in.

Their newer driver works fine now on XP although I disabled the
"gesture" function on startup, MShoop. I just switched my older PS2
BenQ keyboard for a new USB Saitek Eclipse and I think that's solved
all the bugs I was getting - go figure!
