Circular diagram using block arrows (2007)

I'm trying to create a diagram using six block circular arrows.
After manipulating the yellow arrows on the shape, I can't get the thickness
I need to insert legible text without losing the arrow head itself.

Any suggestions?

There are usually two yellow adjustment diamonds on an arrow. Does adjusting
the two of them give you something better?

Otherwise, I'd suggest using a smaller font or moving the text outside of
the arrow -- so it's beside it, not in it. Look at some of the SmartArt
diagrams to see what I mean. (Insert | SmartArt, look in Cycle especially.)
