Basically, from when my computer starts up (it takes longer than it should
for the Windows Xp logo to appear and disappear at boot) it runs slow. The
mouse acts choppy, hanging and catching itself up after a few seconds. Same
with anything audio/video, it gets choppy. This started happening recently
and for no apparent reason. Could it be my audio card? I unplugged it (it's
external) but still got the same problems. Should I uninstall it and
reinstall it? Or could it be soemthing completely different? Iscanned
numerous times for viruses/spyware and it came clean. Like I said it happens
from teh moment I boot the cimputer. If I open a program it fixes itself a
little bit, but it never goes away. Any ideas?
I checked the processes in task manager, and nothing is eating up my
resources that I can see. Is there some sort of diagnostic program that can
detect these things? Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.
