Chkdsk operation and encounters error "Reading folder null "

Hi
Whenever my XP pro starts it goes to Chkdsk operation and
encounters an error

"Reading folder null "

before it can complete 100% of its scanning.

I have tried using scan sfs and surface scan but with no
results.

I will be glad if someone can suggest me a solution.
