when i restart my computer after the windows screen goes away, and before i can
get to my user accounts screen another screen pops up. It states that :
file system type is NTSF and that the C:\ volume needs to be checked for
consistency. (then it gives me ten seconds to skip the check)
If i skip the check my computer runs fine, unless i need to restart my
computer then this all happens again.
If i do not skip the chkdsk it runs and then for a split second an all blue
screen appears w/ some white text. As soon as it appears it is gone and my
computer starts over automatically. this cycle will continue and not stop.
also if if i try to defragment my c:\ a pop up message stating that i need to
run: chkdsk /f appears.
It seems that running the chkdsk /f is not working and is why my computer
can not
succesfully restart w/o this check being skipped.
If anyone knows anything like this that has happened to them or know what to
do when this happens please help. any replies w/ ideas will be appriciated.
thank you.
