CHKDSK Error message

I am running SP home. When I try to run CHKDSK at
startup, it runs through stage 1, starts stage 2, then
shuts down with the following error message:

STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0xF8F08C27, 0x
F9F29840, 0xF9F29540)

tbcspud.sys - Address F8F08C27 base at F8EF0000.
DateStamp 3b8d7887

HELP...when I try the knowledge database at microsoft
there is an article 818966 that seems to address a
similar problem, but it references installing XP using a
disk image, not trying to run CHKDSK.

How can I fix this???

Are you running something with old drivers on it? Look in
device manager and see if hardware has any problems,or
update drivers on anything you think needs it and then
retry chkdsk,try in safemode...Good luck.
