Just a note.
I have recently been replacing a HD on my machine. My machine, she was
acting up in a few different ways, hard to describe but being familiar with
her I could tell that something was amiss, besides the HD. So I open it up
to do the HD work and I notice this little tiny fan is making a huge racket
that I'd apparently become accustomed to over the year (I built this
computer about four years ago). It was a fan for the chipset. I'm
embarassed to admit it, but I didn't know what the chipset was. Anyways, I
got a fan for $13.00 and replaced the noisy one, hard to believe such a
small fan could make so much rachet, anyways, noise is gone and I swear my
machine is running better.
So if ya got a noisy machine check out that little fan. I wonder if my
chipset was overheating a little. Pays to open the box once and while.
Paul.
