Chinese characters appearing on my table

I have an access database application and after entering data, when i close
then open the table the characters were altered and all i see is this chinese
characters. what can i do to prevent this from happening. Thanks.
 
If this is happening directly in a table, for one record or one field only,
and you do not have foreign language fonts set, it indicates a corruption of
the database.
