Chinese characters appeared !

Hello,

for no reasons I can find, one row of one of my tables
turned into chinese characters ! (SimSun font)

I tried to copy/paste in word, and then change
the font, but it didn't do anything.

Why did it ever change ?

How can I get my data back ?

It is most likely that the 1 particular row is corrupted. If you can, delete
the row, but you probably will be unable to. Try doing a compact and repair
(from the Tools ... Database Utilities menu). That should clean it up.

Considering Jet 4.0 text columns are UNICODE by default, I wonder have
you had Joe Celko in for testing <g>?:

LOL! No, he wouldn't touch Access because it's not ANSI compliant enough
for him
