I usually get all the info with the ipconfig /all used from the command
prompt.
To change ip address, go to START> Control Panel > Network Connections >
Local Area Connections > right click to access the option of properties. In
the properties dialogue box, highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) AND then
click on the properties button... this will give you an option/ dialogue box
where you inter in ip address, subnet mask, default gateway and the like..
good luck... mgm

The above mentioned method will work but keep in mind
that you can't change your IP address that you have ben
assigned by your Internet Service provider (as they
assign it to you every time you connect to the net)

First - depends whether you are on XP or 98/ME. If ME :
get into an MS-DOS shell (Start->Run->type 'Command') and
type 'winipcfg' or in XP, into MS-DOS shell and type -
'ipconfig /all'.

As for changing addresses - I have a feeling that you
might not be too comfortable with the results of changing
addresses if you aren't entirely on top of the subject of
networking.
