Checkboxes and radio buttons altered

Hello,

All of sudden all of the radio buttons, checkboxes and other items in any
window have been replaced with other items. The checkboxes look like little
cameras. The drop down arrows have been replaced with what looks like
hourglasses. Even the "X" to close a window has been replaced with a folder
icon. Desktop icons, etc are fine. I have no idea where to look for this, let
alone how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What happens if you logon as a new user? (create a new account in 'User and
Passwords').
