I would like to make a series of check boxes or radio
buttons in an Excel Spreadsheet but I am not sure where to
start. Can someone please help me with some step-by-step
instruction.

Thanks so much!

Hi, Craig!

I often find that the best way to learn to use something
like the checkbox or radio button is simply open up a
new workbook and start playing with the object.

For example, you can "draw" a radio button on your
spreadsheet (make it wide enough so you can type in
a label/text), then right click it, hold the control
key and drag a new copy to a new location; do this
a couple times. Dble click on one of them and go to
the Control tab - set the "cell link" to a cell on the
sheet then rotate through the radio buttons, clicking
(setting) each one in turn (only one can be on at a
time) watch your cell change values.

The Checkbox has similar potentials.

Have fun and play with them!

Hi Craig,

The main difference between checkboxes and radio buttons is that the radio
buttons are exclusive in that you can only check one in any group (you can
group them with a frame). Check boxes can be used to make multiple
selections from a group.
