Check names in both contacts and global list

How do you tell Outlook 2003 to check names in BOTH contacts and global
list? For example there is a Mary in the global list and I have a Mary in
my contacts. If I tell it to search first in the global it only finds the
global address and if I tell it to search first in the contacts it only
finds the Contact address. I need both to be listed each time I check names
so I can choose which one I want each time. Thanks very much.

I do want it to search in sequence. And it sounds like it should do that
since the wording is "...check names in the following order". But it is not
searching in the "order" I select it is only searching the first address
list I select either global or contacts.

Outlook can't do that. It can only search lists in sequence.

Again, Outlook cannot do what you want. When it finds a match, it does not search any additional lists.
