I am running Window XP svc Pk 2 and the system on start up always runs a
"check disk" scan. It never finds anything wrong. How do I get it to stop
doing this on start up?

Hi I just installed SP2 and notice like a 5 min pause from BIOS to Black
Windows XP Startup screen. Does yours do the same with the Black screen and
the small vertical bars moving slowly or is it the Blue screen and actually
showing words that it is scanning your drives??

Thanx, synchron.

Hi, I am running a Scanjet 7400c with its latest drivers. It doesn't seem to
matter weather the Scanjet is connected or not. Chkdsk still happens.

Hi, I ddo not get the pause or the bars. The black Windows XP screen happens
and then it moves right into the blue chkdsk screen. You can watch the
progress as it does the checking.
