Charts

I've been wrestling with some simple charts in an Access report for a few
days now and have made great progress thanks to some help from this
discussion group. I now need to produce a report for about a dozen reps
showing a different chart for each rep. I've set up the chart on a form and
set the link master/child fields - this works fine as a form as it requests
the rep number each time I run it and shows the correct data. However when I
try sticking this into a report as a subform I can't get it to recognise the
master field from the report, it just asks me to enter the rep code. The
report itself only has a rep code and name on it, but whatever I do I can't
seem to get the master rep code field picked up by the subform. Any
suggestions?

I'm not sure why you would place the chart in a subreport. Can you just
place the chart control on your main report (choose the appropriate section)
and set the Link Master/Child properties.

Yes, that's done the trick. I don't know why I went for the subreport option,
it just seemed right. But that has done the trick! Brilliant, thanks very
much. It is probably me but the way Access handles charts seems to be just a
tad removed from dabbling with the occult!
