Chart mm:ss

Kara

I am trying to chart minutes and seconds in a graph. I
have the cells formatted as mm:ss. When I look at the
data table it is showing my entries as 00:00. For example
in cell C3 I have ":03" and in the data table it is 00:00,
therefore not creating a bar on my bar graph. If I format
the cell as text it still displays 0 in the data table.

Please help.
Thanks, Kara

This worked. But when the data was revealed by a bar it
did not reach the appropriate line, if the data is 00:05
then the bar does not reach the 00:05 on the grid.
Why is this?
I really appreciate your help!!

Format the scale and change the Min,Max and Major values.
You can enter the value as a time, so for example,

Min = 0
Max = 00:00:10
Major = 00:00:01

To give you 1 second increments to a total of 10 secs.

Excel will automatically convert the time values into absolute values.

I don't know why the default values are causing the bar to appear short.

After I changed the scale to what you suggested the bars
matched up to the correct line. Thank you so much!!!

I suspect the axis was doing hh:mm and Kara's data was mm:ss. It helps
to show all pieces of the number, as Andy did with his Max and Major here.
