How would one go about quoting PPT services? What is reasonable and
customary for hourly or by the page rates?

I realize that there are many variables in creating presentations, but is
there anything that can be used as a guide?

Approximately 2 years ago, I asked something similar and got the following
wonderful answers from 2 wonderful ladies:

"I wouldn't have a clue. You see I'm a strange animal. I don't do any
design or art work for money. Just don't like working for other people."

"When I create templates for customers, I charge either as part of a set fee
for a package of services (usually a template, a website a logo etc. -
putting together a whole "image" for the company - this can range anywhere
from $500 - $2,000). On an individual basis - templates only - I have been
charging $25 per template (for free and clear use with no royalty payments to
me after purchase) or if it requires some extra programming or time, more (up
to about $100 per template) depending on the amount of time it takes to make
it.

So, I really can't say in your situation - it depends on a lot of factors -
your time primarily to make them and how much you would make at say your
"regular" job per hour if you were charging that way. You never know with
these things - sometimes the product can really take off and spread like
wildfire across the country and then you would have been paid very little to
create it! Basically, I do it because I love it - its not going to make me
rich and I like the fun aspect and the creative work..."

Hope it helps,
Glenna
