Is there a character map that comes with WinXP Pro SP2? If so, how do
I get to it?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Perform the following:

1. Right-click on your Desktop and select: NEW > SHORTCUT
2. In the Create Shortcut window, type in: CHARMAP.EXE , and click "Next".
3. In the next window, type in: Character Map , and click "Finish"
4. A Character Map shortcut icon should appear on your Desktop.
5. You can then add the icon to your Quick Launch toolbar for convenience.

You can also uninstall/reinstall Character Map by going to:

Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > Add/Remove Windows Components >
Accessories and Utilities > Details > Accessories > Details > Character Map
