Character limit on field in crosstab query

I have a crosstab query that uses as a row heading a text field that can be
up to 255 characters. The field is only used for holding a comment (it is
set as TEXT) but it is completely screwing up my query. If a particular
record has an entry in this field that is over 202 characters then the
columns of the crosstab for that record show up blank. If the field is 202
characters or less then the crosstab columns show correctly. Has anyone ever
experienced this? Or any idea why it happens? It seems strange that the
number of significant characters would be 202. Thanks for any insight.

There is a limit to the number of characters in a single row. It may be
possible that you are hitting this limit when adding all the characters
across all columns in your crosstab.

Thanks Duane,

Do you happen to know what the limit on the number of characters in a row is?

I opened Access, pressed F1 for Help and typed in "table specifications". I
found the answer in about 1 minute. Let us know if you can't find the same.
Some times Help can be less than helpfull.
