Changing the Profile name once it has been created

I created an initial profile name that was an incorrect spelling of the
person's name. I have a full setup under this profile that I would like to
maintain.

I changed the login name w/out problem. How do I change the profile name
under documents & settings to reflect the correct spelling without causing
any change to the current settings.
 
You can't, at least not safely.

If you did, programs which make reference to files inside it would go wrong.
