Changing the MY pictures folder location

Guest

I want to change the location of the default My Pictures and for that matter
My Documents folder.

The reason for this is that I have installed Vista onto a small but blazing
fast SATA drive 10k rpm very good performance. But its only 36gb and I have
over 100GB in My Documents (My Pictures included in that). So what I want to
do is use the old folder but have it properly linked in Vista.

Is this possible? If so how.

Best regards

Right click the current folder(s), choose Properties, then the Location
Tab...follow along.

Right click is a wonderful thing that many people never utilize. When
coupled with "properties" it will tell you an awful lot about the item, and
what options are available. Use it more frequently. (-:

there are other ways as well. i found like 3 ways to do it. you can do it in
vista rc1, the same way you can do it in xp. at least somethings have not
changed. in beta 2, it did not let you do it at all, unless you were a
complete tech geek or something. i could not even do it in beta 2. maybe in
the final release they will let you choose the locations of the "special
folders". aka my documents, my music, my pictures, my videos, and my
favorites durring the installation as an advanced installation option.
