Changing the home dir to drive D: Possible ??

John Antonakos

I would like to change the home directory of the user that i logon as,
and have it from now on, on drive D:\.

I went to Computer Management / Local Users and Groups / Users
Selected the user i logon as, and click Properties.
i went to the profile tab, and write the path i want to the Local Path
of the Home folder.

I rebooted my PC, and still my home dir is on drive C:

Note: this is my work PC, where we have installed a DOMAIN.
I logon of course as a member of the DOMAIN.
I just want to change the local path of the files of the local account..

Is it possible ??

What do you mean by home drive? If you mean My Documents, right click
it and choose Properties. You can change it there.

The "home drive" really only applies to applications that don't have a
setting for the default file open/save location, such as Notepad.
