changing the default view of a *.doc attachment

Hello,

My employer recently upgraded my system to Windows XP and the new Outlook.
When I receive a Word document, and double click the attachment it launches
in a "Reading Layout" view in MS Word...it's awful! Can I change it so that
it views in "Print Layout" instead? and if so, how? Thanks for any
information!

Launch Word and go to Tools > Options > General > uncheck "allow starting in
reading layout"

Hi again,

I found the answer to my problem. Through exploration, I discovered an item
in Tools menu, under Options, on the "General" tab, :

"Allow starting in Reading layout"

When I unchecked this option, my issue was resolved .
