Changing Subject Line

Is it anyway possible to change the subject line as I file certain emails and
would like to change the subject line in order to be able to differentiate
the email with out opening it each time.

A friend of mine does this by emailing it back to herself with the changed
subject line. I know, kind of silly and time consuming but it was the only
way she could figure out how to do it.

Open the mail item, click in the subject area and edit the subject. It
doesn't look like it's editable but it is. Hit the Escape key when done and
choose to save the item.

That's way too much trouble. All you need to do is open the item, change the subject, then save it.
