Hi guys,

I'm definitely new at this, so roll your eyes and please help me out! My
paragraphs are too wide for my liking. I would like to have paragraphs that
would only take up about 1/2 the page so I can place pictures on the other
half. Any suggestions? Thank you!

Hey, the experts may roll their eyes at me, too. But here are two simple
options:
(1) Insert a table with borders set to zero and a column for your text plus
a column on whichever side(s) you want the blank space and/or pictures, and
set the widths in either pixels or percentages. Tables are the surest way to
space text and pictures exactly where you want them. Cell properties can
position their contents vertically & horizontally.
(2) In Format > Paragraph, select horizontal margins, and Insert > Picture
(perhaps at the first of the paragraph) then set picture properties to
whichever side you want the picture on, plus the amount of space around the
picture. This option would probably suffice for the occasional piece of text
with picture, especially if the rest of the page is already shaped the way
you want it.
If you want many paragraphs like this, consider making a style in the Style
menu.
Have fun! -- Mir
