Changing HP Deskjet 970CSE printer to custom paper sizes?

I need to be able to custom print cards & paper of different sizes. How can
I add a custom paper size to my printer?
 
Some printers allow you to define custom paper sizes; many do not. If the
option is available, it will be in the printer Properties, and you may find
that accessing the Properties through the Printers folder in Windows will
provide access to more tabs than clicking the Properties... button in Word's
Print dialog.

If the page size is not available, use a larger size and make up the
difference with the margins.
