Changing HDD on a notebook

Hi,

I'm having a problem changing the HDD on a Toshiba Satellite 1110, but I can not
get the back cover off, and when I checked with Toshiba on how to do it, they
tell me that I should have a HDD access panel, but the only panel that I have is
one for the memory, and the other is for the battery

I removed all the screws from the the back cover, but something is holding the
cover about the middle of the notebook

Can any one tell me how to do this ?

Any help would be appreciated

Often removing the keyboard will give access to the HDD. Depends on the
machine though. I'm not familiar with yours.

But, if you enter: Toshiba Satellite 1110 HDD removal

into Google the first link:

http://www.overclockers.com/articles1214/

"Tech Talk on Laptops" tells you:

"Toshiba Satellite 1110 (1100 series): Fairly solid aging laptop. Difficult
access to HDD - requires removal of entire LCD and top cover. Prone to
cracking at the LCD hinges - be gentle."

Sounds like you're in for an ordeal. Good luck.
