Changing Fonts

I can't seem to change fonts in OE 6. I'm always locked on Times New Roman.
I can change size, add Bold, Italic, etc., but I can't change the font
style. Is there some place I may have accidentally locked it in? I've
tried highlighting a section of text I already typed, nothing works. I
tried it from the Format pull down menu. I'm referring to Rich Text (html).
Could it be a virus of some kind?

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook
97/98/2000/2002/2003/2007 from the Office suite of products. Outlook
Express is actually a separate program despite the similar name.
