Changing Folder ICONs kills Performance?

N

Nick

I am running Windows 2003 Server and I have all my client
folders in a Clients directory. My clients fall into one
of three categories, so I changed the clients folder to
one of three different ICONs. This way my staff will know
the client type by just looking at the clients directory
folder.

However, when browsing the Client Directory from any of
the Windows XP machines, it takes between 15-45 seconds
with the flashlight searching before the directories are
displayed. This is not the case with the default folder
ICON.

I have tried using ICONs from the default "shell32.dll"
file and custom file.ico ICONs, but both produced the
same results.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
