Sorry, there doesn't seem to bee a way to get rid of it with a registry
entry.
You could possible edit the binary that handles windows shell. You should
be
good at assember... But I have previosly removed pesterscreens for some
apps
by simply remove the dialog-resource in det application with a
resourceeditor
but I don't think it is possible in this case. (at this win98lite-system
I'm
using right now it is a stringresource in shell32.dll)

I think that warning is idiotic too. most of microsofts babymode
is possible to turn of, but not this....

Please tell if you find a way!

Rename the file while in the command prompt
hehehe.. wouldn't that be like cheating :-)
besides, it takes time to open a command prompt and writing ren,
pasting filenames etc. What I want is to have less clicks not more.

maybe there is a nice tool somewhere that can tell where in a binary
a specific resource is used?

I have tried now at this system to just kill the stringresource
but the effect is that windows just don't rename the file
if I change change the extension :-/

Dumb warnings like this makes your fingers press yes/OK automaticly
even when the question is valid. "sure you want to format the hard disk?
yes yes yes... oupssss!"
