Changing e-mail service options

L

Lewis Shanks

I had to reinstall Outlook 2000 SR-1. It installed by default to be set up
as "no e-mail". I need to switch to "internet only". To switch from one to
the other Outlook's help files say: go to tools -->Options -->mail services
tab --> and then the reconfigure mail support option to select the service
option I want. The problem is that there is no "mail services tab", so their
help procedure is faulty.

Please advise how I can reconfigure the set up to get back to "internet
only" setup.
Thanks

Since it was installed w/o email support, you may have to
reinstall with. An "overinstall" wont effect any settings
presently there. I dont think its a feature that is
selectable in the Add/Remove Windows Options, but you may
check there first. I also never opt for "internet only".
Using the Corp or WG gives you the internet, plus and is
more flexible and easier to change. The MS help files only
work if you have one or the other installed and then want
to switch, not if neither is installed. Good luck.
