Changing Default Save Location for Email Attachments

Hey gang..

I understand the Tools>Options>General tab allows you to change the default open/save file for Excel, however, this does not work when you open a file received as an attachment. The Save As location changes to one of the Temp folders. Does anyone know how to change this? I use Outlook 2002 - and this may be impossible, but it is extremely irritating and I would love to find out how to change this

Thanks

I've never been able to change this.

But excel's (2k and above) behavior is to offer to save it in the current
folder. When you opened the attachment, it got saved (temporarily) to that temp
folder.

When you do the file|saveAs, xl doesn't know and just offers the folder for that
workbook.

But in xl2002, you can add a shortcut to that File|SaveAs dialog.

Do File|SaveAs inside excel.
Go to your favorite folder
Tools|Add to My Places

Now, you have a shortcut on that left hand pane to that place.

If you're using xl2k (a bit weird with Outlook2002???): You could use an addin
from MS:

It's called Places.exe that allows you to update the places list.
