Changing dates from Monday to M, .... in excel

Hi all,
Does anyone know how to format Monday to M, Tuesday to T.... I can
make it a number, I can make it Mon, but cant get just M, T, W....
Could use some assistance.

product that's part of Office Professional. Your question would appear to
belong in a newsgroup related to Excel.

That having been said, if you can make it Mon, Tue, Wed, just use the Left
function to retrieve only the first character of the string. How were you
planning on distinguishing between Saturday and Sunday and between Tuesday
and Thursday?
