Changing data input into tables from ID numbers to Field 2 entries

Q

We've set up a database with a number of tables that contain options for each
of the subjects we want to enter into a database. We've also setup a form in
which to input the information we want to go into a table. Each of the
fields in the form has a dropdown menu where the options mentioned before can
be chosen from. Entries into the form are then dumped into a table. The
problem we're having is that the information being dumped into the table from
the form are the ID numbers rather than the field names that are represented
by each. We thought that changing the primary key on each of the tables
would fix this problem, but it hasn't. We've already entered all of our
data. Is there a way to make Access translate all of these ID numbers into
the corresponding field names?

Actually, the ID numbers are the only thing that you *should* be
storing in the related table. The associated names would be displayed
on your form through the use of a combo box, or a field in a query, etc.
