Changing Cell Color

maybe there is a conditional format set
try
Format > Conditional Format > Delete > Condition1 > Condition2 > Condition 3
 
You highlight the cell you want to change, right click and go down to Format
Cells, click on patterns and choose your color. Is that not working for you?
