Changing background color

I don't know how i managed to mess this up, but when I work in print layout
view my background color (behind my document) is gray. It used to be purple.
Does anyone know how to change this. I looked under "options" but did not
see anything that would correct this.

This may depend on your Windows color scheme, but AFAIK it's always dark
gray in Word. Perhaps the color settings on your monitor made it look
purple?
