Changing back style

I change my control panel to the classic view and now for some reason i am
unable to change it back to Windows XP style, which had quite a few handy
items.

Any suggestions.

In 'My Computer' click on "tools|folder options" , tab 1
top 'show common tasks in folders'. See if this changes back
once you close "My computer" or control Panel.
