Changing Administrator Profile

Apparently my currant name has been corrupted. How can
I delete my currant name as an administrator, create a new
name, still as an adminstrator, and retain all the files,
etc. available to me under the previous name? Woody

Earl

Create the new Administrator account and log on to that account. You will
first need to take Ownership of the files in C:\Documents and Settings\<old
admin account> and then copy the contents of that profile to the new profile
you created. These 2 articles will guide you.

I forgot to add, I am using Windows XP Home Edition, 2002 Upgrade

Control Panel-users and create a new user with Admin rights.

Be aware - it is NOT best practice to use the built-in Administrator Account
for day to day use anyway.
