Changing a pivot table's data range in Excel 2007

In Excel 2007, I want to modify the data range for an existing pivot table.
I don't know how to do that. When I click inside the existing pivot table to
make it active, the pivot table icon in the ribbon is grayed out and I can't
select it. I can't find the appropriate menu item when I right-click.

Click in the pivot table and you will get two extra tabs on the ribbon under
'PivotTable Tools' (Options and Design). Click on options and in the Data
group you will find a 'change data source button', one of the options here
will help you depending on whether it's data from Excel or an external
source
