Changes to global template

Nearly every time I close a Word document I receive a message that the
global template has changed and asking if I want to save the changes. I
select No which results in the Save As dialog box being presented to me. I
select Cancel, then I have to close the document window, at which point I'm
again asked if I want to save the changes. I select no and the document
finally closes. This never used to happen, but now it happens all the time.
I'm not sure what I did to cause this problem and am hopeful that someone
can help me resolve it. Any help would be appreciated.
