Changed template, now I can't tab to next form field...

I changed our phone # in our p.o. template. Now when I open the template and
fill in the fields, it won't tab to the next form field (ie. p.o. # to date
to terms etc..), it just moves over a couple of spaces. I have to take my
mouse and click to the next field. What did I do?

Sounds like this is a user form. Try opening the template and protecting the
document.

It is our purchase order template. I tried protecting it, it didn't work.

How did you go about changing the phone number? Did you open the
template, and unprotect it? Please describe all the steps you went
through, so we can figure out what might be the problem.

Protect the template for forms (lock it using the lock button on the forms
toolbar). What you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form."
