change windows 2000 installation directory

hi, i would like to know if there's anyway that i can
change the windows 2000 default installation directory,
so that is doesn't have to be "c:\winnt", any help is
appreciated.

Yes you can change the installation directory because i'm
booting off me D:\ drive!

Paul,

Assuming that ONE installs 2000 AFTER booting up from the CD (or set of
FLOPPIES) ONE'll only have the option of choosing the PARTITION...NOT the
directory... i.e. you'll be able to choose between partitions C, D, E, etc.
BUT not where to install so the Set-up will automatically install the OS on
the folder (directory) x:\WINNT (where x = C, D or E, depending on one's
choice...).

The only option (If memory serve me right) during INSTALL to choose another
FOLDER (i.e. NOT \WINNT) is when ONE installs a 2nd or extra version of
2000 on the SAME partition...
