Is there a way to change Vista's log on screen as so it is like XP.
What I mean is instead with 2 fields where you have to enter Domain
\user then password, I want the 3 fields of User Name then Password
then Domain. Also, can you hide the "Switch User" button? My users are
hitting this "switch user" button without thinking.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated

I don't 'think' that you can get the old XP style login box with the 3
fields in Vista.

You can hide the switch user button on the login screen, but be aware that
this also removes the switch user menu items in the GUI.

Open the Group Policy Editor.
Local Computer Policy / Administrative Templates / System / Logon

Set: Hide entry points for Fast User Switching > Enabled
By enabling the policy the Switch user button in the Logon UI, the Start
menu and the Task Manager are hidden.

In those solutions, the user is left having to enter its domain\username and
password. Is there a way to just enter username and password when logging in

Thanks Shawn,

Unlike with XP, in a corporate environment, the 'domain\username' and
password combination appears to be required with Vista. That is what I was
hoping to avoid, since many users aren't that easy when it comes to computer
changes, and will forget. I'll have to create a pre-welcome screen message,
letting users know that when entering their individual users names, they have
to use the 'domain\username' syntax.
